Recycling for Kids
We have prepared summary information on the standard recyclable items in a format that makes it easy for educators to use. This format may also be useful for those doing research and projects. The summaries combine information from this section of our Website and from the ‘Processing Recovered Materials’ section. Each summary notes what the item is made of, the process followed when it is recycled, and what products are made from it. It also outlines the environmental benefits of recycling and provides some how-to tips for preparing the items for pick-up.
